Oracle ERP Test Manager

About the role

As a Test Manager, you will: Own and lead the full testing lifecycle-from strategy and planning through to execution and reporting Deliver testing across ERP implementations and upgrades, with a strong focus on integrated Finance and Payroll solutions Work across Oracle Cloud programmes while applying transferable best practices from other Tier 1 ERP environments Lead hybrid teams of consultants, client stakeholders, and third-party partners Drive quality, governance, and continuous improvement across delivery

Responsibilities

• You will:
• Define and deliver test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned to programme timelines
• Manage end-to-end test execution , including SIT and UAT phases
• Oversee defect management , including triage and resolution coordination
• Lead testing across integrated ERP systems , ensuring upstream and downstream alignment
• Review all key test artefacts (scripts, logs, defects, and test summary reports)
• Coach teams on test design and scripting best practices
• Promote adoption of test automation approaches where appropriate
• Manage stakeholder engagement, including client communication, risks, and mitigation plans
• Ensure delivery aligns with Version 1 methodologies, standards, and governance
• Additional Responsibilities
• Support and develop team capability through coaching and mentoring
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ERP platforms and testing tools
• Track delivery performance against KPIs and quality metrics
• Contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction
• Ensure all delivery aligns with recognised project methodologies
• Experience & Skills
• You will have:
• Proven experience as a Test Manager within enterprise ERP programmes
• Strong preference for Oracle ERP Cloud , including implementation or upgrade experience
• Alternatively, deep experience with other Tier 1 ERP platforms (e.g. SAP, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics), particularly across Finance and Payroll processes
• Experience delivering at least one full end-to-end ERP implementation lifecycle
• Strong expertise in test management, defect management, and governance frameworks
• Ability to manage complex, integrated system landscapes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented approach
• Experience working in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments
• Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks is advantageous
