Role overview As a Front of House Security Officer, you will be the first point of contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors, providing a warm, reassuring, and highly professional presence within our office environment. Visible, approachable, and engaging, you will ensure that all physical security systems are effectively monitored and managed, while also delivering services that go beyond traditional manned guarding. This role is central to creating a safe, welcoming, and well‑run workplace experience. Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in: Providing appropriate guarding security services to the business, including assistance, guidance, monitoring and advice on the physical security environment and fire and life safety systems Maintaining working knowledge of all fire and security related policies and procedures, including CCTV Code of Practice Providing customer focused Reception services, including issue of appropriate levels of access, ensuring visitor comfort and secure store of luggage Acting as the primary building incident controller when needed, taking active leadership responsibility for control of the incident team and liaison with the emergency services and Senior Management Team as necessary Maintaining vigilance of colleague car parking (including surrounding residential areas), actively managing resolution of issues or escalating where required and regularly patrolling and maintaining oversight of the loading bay and external areas of the building Patrolling the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, monitoring the building infrastructure failures and ensuring the building always remains secure Essential skills/experience: Ability to demonstrate effective communication , with a confident and professional approach Proven capability to remain calm under pressure , directing colleagues of all grades in a clear, authoritative, and supportive manner during emergency situations Strong conflict‑management skills , with the ability to remain composed and professional at all times The interview process Our interview process involves the below: Recruiter Screening Interview with Hiring Leader As a Disability Confident employer, we're committed to ensuring our recruitment processes are fully inclusive - for more information on the Disability Confident Scheme (DCS), please visit our inclusive business page on our career's website.
