About the role

Actively looking for an experienced, technically sharp Fabrication Engineer to join the production and engineering team. If you are someone who thrives on turning complex structural designs into reality, understands the nuances of material behavior, and excels at streamlining manufacturing and welding workflows, you'll fit right in. Role Overview As a Fabrication Engineer, you will bridge the gap between structural engineering designs and shop-floor production. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, cutting, welding, and assembly of structural steel, architectural metalwork, or modular components. Your focus will be on maintaining strict quality standards, ensuring structural integrity, and maximizing production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Shop Drawing Review: Analyze and interpret structural blueprints and architectural drawings to create detailed fabrication shop drawings and cutting lists. Production Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the fabrication workshop, ensuring welding, machining, and assembly sequences are executed safely and efficiently. Quality Control (QA/QC): Enforce strict compliance with structural standards and welding codes. Oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) and structural inspections. Material & Bill of Materials (BOM): Estimate material requirements, generate accurate BOMs, and manage the procurement and tracking of raw steel, hardware, and specialized components. Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce material waste, minimize cycle times, and improve overall shop throughput. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all fabrication machinery-including CNC cutters, laser welders, and heavy bending machines-are properly maintained and calibrated. What We Are Looking For Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication , heavy manufacturing, or architectural metalwork. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, SMAW), metallurgy, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Tekla Structures) and workshop management/ERP software. Certifications: Certifications in Welding Inspection (e.g., AWS CWI or CSWIP) or NDT methods are a massive plus. Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team of fabricators, welders, and technicians in a high-pressure environment. Why Join Us? Impact: Take ownership of the critical structural backbone of major construction projects. Safety First: We maintain a world-class safety culture with modern, well-ventilated, and strictly regulated facilities. Compensation: Competitive salary, project-based performance bonuses, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
