Founded by Amherst, the full-service real estate solutions platform, Amherst StudioBuilt™ homes is an innovative approach to home development that utilizes offsite construction to create new housing supply at scale without sacrificing quality. StudioBuilt homes are constructed at Amherst's housing studio in Cuero, Texas as well as partner studios across the Southeast and then installed on site. At full capacity, the Cuero facility will create over 250 manufacturing jobs, making Amherst the third largest employer in the area. The StudioBuilt team is comprised of experienced individuals from all trades, working to continuously improve the production process. The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing team constructs the customer required products. They will conduct SPC monitoring of inspections done by the various work groups, compiling data for RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Actions) and by Training Personnel on Inspection Techniques and Processes. The Quality Technician will assist in developing Control Plans, Inspection Plans and measuring techniques. It will also work with Third Party auditors (customers and regulatory agencies). The Quality Technician will assist with obtaining required Quality Certifications such as ISO, QS and other pertinent certifications. The Quality Technician will be required to help with writing, auditing and maintaining SOP's within the Amherst Studio Build SOP Library. The Quality Technician will also be required to attend and lead Kaizen Events. Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Participant in Daily Management Meetings, including Gemba Walks. Collect, analyze, and validate the Manufacturing Inspections. Ensure that Data is available for customer and agency reviews. Create SOP's for various manufacturing and quality requirements. Create Quality Improvement suggestions and develop implementation plans. Enforce internal compliance to Control and Inspection Plans. Work with the onsite construction team to address returns and issues. Participate in continuous improvement projects for the factory and business management. Follow the company's Quality procedures and uphold the highest standards for ethical and professional behavior. Core Competencies: Ability to learn various software such as MiTek, Reddit and similar. Strong analytical skills, to tie data to a Root Cause. Understanding of Lean/6Sigma principles learned through practical application. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present to management. Provide Leadership and Guidance to Business Coordinators. Conduct Assessments of Hourly and Manufacturing Quality Inspection Techniques. Pro-active and effective communication with Manufacturing, Senior Management and Customers. Plus, the ability to manage difficult conversations in a professional manner. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications. Self-motivated, able to multitask, proven success in fast-paced environments. Team player, able to build positive working relationships with people across different functions, locations, and levels of management. Education And Experience: 3-5 years' experience working within a Quality Groups and Quality Inspection experience. 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including within industrial homes . Experience with the construction industry standards.
