Utility Technician (Technician 1)

About the role

We're looking for a Utility Technician to be the engine behind our production floor logistics - managing raw material flow, inventory accuracy, and supply continuity so our lines never miss a beat.

Responsibilities

• Request, receive, and issue raw materials (ink, cartons, webs, needles, cannula, labels) based on production schedules
• Ensure continuous supply of component parts and prepare silicon/silicon intermediates for assembly machines
• Transfer scrap to designated areas and prepare finished parts for transfer
• Verify correct and approved raw materials for production lines; reconcile physical vs. system quantities
• Conduct inventory cycle counts, investigate variances, and update systems upon approval
• Manage label control - monitor usage, handle scrap, and update records
• Return excess materials to warehouse; monitor safety stock and raise purchase requisitions as needed
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of work areas
• Participate in team meetings, performance reviews, and improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards (ISO 14001)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience preferred
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
• Basic computer literacy; proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with attention to detail
• Preferred Skills
• Experience in inventory management and preventive maintenance
• Familiarity with SAP & MES systems
