Nuclear Electrical Systems Inspector (ships) Leader

About the role

You will serve as a NUCLEAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) LEADER in the Nuclear Inspection Division (C139G) located at Guam Detachment of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Guam is designated as a medically underserved area. Military medical facilities offer space-available primary and limited specialty medical care; however, services are not guaranteed. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE. A. Experience performing electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical inspections, pre-arrival and material condition assessment inspections, in-process, product, pre-test, test inspections, certification and acceptance of completed work reviews on nuclear reactor plant, refueling, and overhaul work; experience ensuring proper material control and traceability is maintained and independently initiating and authorizing rejection of workmanship, components, materials, and procedures that do not meet specifications. B. Experience performing receipt inspection, pre-use inspection and marking verification of naval material; performing surveillance of ongoing or completed work to ensure compliance with all applicable directives; and authorizing rejection of workmanship, components, materials, and procedures that do not meet specifications. C. Experience inspecting work products; determining work sequence for inspections determining that work products are within acceptable standards, specifications, or requirements; experience checking for compliance with accepted trade practices and making determinations to accept or reject work products Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118C).
