Responsibilities

  • Lead month‑end close activities, ensuring recording accurate P&L and Balance Sheet transactions and full adherence to Group timelines.
  • Support seamless onboarding of new processes and align them to the Target Operating Model.
  • Drive timely, high‑quality reporting while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations and substantiations.
  • Partner with external auditors by coordinating information requests and ensuring smooth audit cycles.
  • Maintain strong internal controls aligned with Group policies and the financial control framework.
  • Contribute to the delivery and implementation of new systems, tools, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with teams across Finance to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Entity Accountants, Financial Controllers, Group Reporting, and Statutory Reporting teams as an active member of the Finance General Accounting team.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a passed finalist of a recognised professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/CA).
  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong foundation in core accounting processes and consolidations with an ability to ensure accurate general ledger balances.
  • Experience in a finance shared services environment is an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of financial control processes, reconciliations, and substantiation.
  • Experience producing and delivering financial reporting packs and performance schedules.
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle, or HFM/FCCS is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency across MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaborator who builds effective relationships across global teams.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Process‑driven mindset with the ability to design, improve, and strengthen reporting frameworks.
  • High level of accuracy, ownership, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work according to UK business hours.
