Laundry Attendant (Seasonal)

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Laundry Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
• Carry out various functions within the Laundry department
• Sort and categorize soiled linen
• Feed linen and laundry into folding machine
• Receive linen coming out of laundry machine, sort and separate
• Feed, receive and record all linen items
• Report necessary maintenance items
• Ensure the completion of task checklist by the end of each shift
• Accurately record production data by specific items to track efficiency and inventory
• Ensure laundry machines are thoroughly cleaned and maintained at the end of each shift
• Must be flexible in regards to work schedules (weekends and holidays as required)
• Following all safety and sanitation policies
• Adhere to all LQA standards set for the department
• Consistently uphold a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the company's established grooming policy
• Adhere to the hotel's vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles

• Other duties as assigned
• Your experience and skills include:
• Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry an asset
• Valid Alberta driver's license an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Starting rate of Pay: $18.88 per hour
