Additional Information

Job Expectations We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a People Central Advisor , reporting to the Senior Manager People Central. A bit about your role As a People Central Advisor, you will be a trusted first point of contact for employees and leaders, providing timely, accurate and practical advice across a broad range of HR matters aligned to nbn's policies, systems and processes. You will operate in a fast‑paced, high‑volume and complex environment, where you are required to think on your feet, apply sound judgement, and deliver clear, structured and well‑reasoned guidance. This is a hands‑on role that balances advisory with HRIS (Workday) processing. You will confidently navigate and action system transactions in real time, while managing a steady flow of employee and leader enquiries. You will also support escalations and partner with broader People & Culture specialist teams to work through more complex matters. You will bring a strong continuous improvement mindset, actively identifying opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and enhance the employee experience. With a natural curiosity for systems, you will champion digital capability, including AI and automation, to drive efficiency, accuracy and smarter ways of working. A bit about you You bring experience navigating high‑volume HR environments within large, complex organisations, where you have balanced advisory work with hands‑on system processing. You have a sound understanding of the employee lifecycle and Fair Work legislation, and you apply this knowledge in a practical, commercially aware way when responding to queries. You are comfortable managing complexity, structuring your thinking clearly, and working methodically through issues to reach the right outcome. Further, you have experience using Workday, or a comparable HRIS, and are confident managing system‑driven processes alongside employee enquiries. Just as importantly, you are proactive in improving how work gets done, and motivated to contribute to a high‑performing, collaborative team.
