About the role

3 days onsite - hybrid schedule (flexible) We are seeking a Software Development Director to lead global software R&D teams within the Productivity Solutions Division. This role manages a distributed organization, including direct reports, an international supervisor, and offshore vendor teams. Responsibilities

  • Lead global teams, including direct reports, managers, offshore teams, and external vendors

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including ISO 13485 (required)
  • Drive Design Control processes, product lifecycle management, and quality outcomes
  • Manage resources, budgets, and vendor relationships
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across software, genomics, and pathology domains

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical or scientific field
  • 10+ years of product development experience (software and/or hardware)
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing global, distributed teams
  • Strong background in software R&D and delivery in regulated environments
  • Direct experience with ISO 13485 and medical device quality systems (required)
  • Domain knowledge in genomics, pathology, or life sciences preferred
  • Experience managing offshore teams, contractors, and vendors
