Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing MNC)

About the role

Our client is a Manufacturing MNC, one of the leading players in the Packaging Manufacturing sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to be part of their Maintenance team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West. The Duties of Maintenance Engineer are: Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems. Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure smooth machine operations and minimize downtime. Monitor equipment performance, conduct routine inspections, and maintain maintenance records. Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement improvement actions to prevent recurring breakdowns. Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams, suppliers, OEMs, and external contractors. Manage spare parts inventory, support procurement activities, and maintain maintenance costs within budget. Participate in machine installation, commissioning, upgrades, automation, and continuous improvement projects. Support plant facilities, utilities, and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) maintenance activities. Maintain equipment documentation, SOPs, calibration records, and support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Participate in standby duties and attend to breakdowns when required.
