Responsibilities
- Review fund NAV calculations and year-end financial statements prepared by external fund administrators.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc fund performance metrics, including IRR, MOIC, share price and other investment analyses.
- Support the finance functions of the Fund Manager and related entities, including bank account administration and reconciliations.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and tax filing information with external accounting service providers.
- Support investor operations, including investor onboarding, capital calls, distributions and shareholder reporting.
- Liaise with fund administrators, auditors, accountants, regulators and other service providers to ensure timely completion of reporting and operational requirements.
- Assist with MAS regulatory reporting and compliance administration, including AML and regulatory surveys.
- Support the investment team with transaction execution and portfolio monitoring from an operational perspective as required.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in fund accounting, fund operations, financial reporting or audit within the alternative investment or financial services industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Progress towards CA/CPA qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Interest in venture capital and the start-up ecosystem.
