The Clinical Research Summer Intern provides project and operational support to clinical research teams engaged in the conduct of cancer-related clinical studies. Working under close supervision, the intern assists with research coordination activities, data review, regulatory documentation, study tracking, and general administrative support while gaining exposure to the clinical research environment in an academic medical center. The role supports compliant, accurate, and timely execution of research activities across one or more studies or program areas. We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers, and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals. - Assists clinical research staff with day-to-day support activities for study operations, including organizing study materials, maintaining tracking logs, preparing packets, and supporting workflow coordination. - Reviews source documents, case report forms, and study-related files for completeness, accuracy, and consistency under supervision, and escalates discrepancies or missing information as appropriate. - Supports regulatory and administrative activities by helping to assemble, file, scan, and maintain study binders, essential documents, training records, and other research documentation in accordance with institutional and protocol requirements. - Assists with data entry, data validation, and basic reporting tasks in research databases, spreadsheets, and other systems used to monitor study activity, enrollment, or document completion. - Participates in team meetings, training sessions, and educational activities to develop an understanding of clinical research operations, human subjects protections, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. - Collaborates with research coordinators, data managers, regulatory staff, and other team members on assigned projects, special assignments, or process improvement tasks related to research administration and study support. Pay Transparency Statement The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications. For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). $31,200.00 - $41,200.00
