Senior Group Accountant

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial forecasting models across multiple business units, ensuring accuracy and relevance to business needs.
• Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting cycle, aligning deliverables and timelines with overall company objectives.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support business decisions and provide strategic insights.
• Assist in preparing monthly group consolidation and management reporting packages.
• Support the department on new IFRS implementation initiatives and address related technical accounting matters.
• Prepare year-end group audit schedules and consolidation requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage year-end audits for designated entities within the Group Accounting Department while ensuring full compliance with Group policies.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external auditors, as well as legal and tax advisors, to support audit and compliance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA qualification is an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience; prior external audit experience preferred
• Experience in a listed company, with exposure to regulatory compliance and legal matters, is preferred
• Some legal or corporate secretarial exposure is an advantage (e.g., review of contracts, board papers, and corporate filings)
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin (spoken & written) as this position will need to liaise with China offices
• Good application of Microsoft Office including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments
• Meticulous, independent, proactive, with a positive work attitude and strong sense of teamwork
