Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of a Sr. Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Band 4) with experiences in supply chain management, or related fields, to include business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman's Category Management Team (CMT) within the Mission Systems Sector, which is engaged throughout all aspects of the core technologies used within our major systems. This position can be 100% remote with a preferred location of Maryland. What You'll get to Do : The full range of the subcontract acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of subcontracts while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will understand the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experiences in work specifications and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation and post award administration. Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, Strong verbal and written communication skills, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry. Within the CMT organization the candidate will support a team-based organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including but not limited to strategic analysis, complex negotiations, materials planning, procurement execution/award, finance, and internal customer service. Ideal candidates are generally experienced in one or more areas of the procurement or contractual function(s), developing business relationships, and demonstrating an affinity for working with, or understanding both manufacturing and technology. This position is responsible for executing major procurement activities and providing contractual support and documentation to suppliers in support of programs within the Cables and Connectors category in CMT. Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Band 4): A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution 8+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or six+ years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related with a Master's Degree Experience as a team lead in current or past projects. Proficiency in MS Office suite Preferred Qualifications for Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist: Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications SAP experience Experience with FAR/DFARS Demonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and/or Cost Reimbursable, Experience with terms and conditions, and/or special contract clauses/types such as: long term agreements and intellectual property agreements.
