Reporting to the Group Manager in this fixed term position, you will oversee day-to-day delivery, build team capability, and drive high-quality, timely outputs that align with Government and Ministry priorities. You will play a key role in strengthening the Ministry's economic capability, shape strategic initiatives, and foster strong relationships across the health system and wider government. Lead and grow a high-performing team delivering work on funding, commissioning, and health funding and financing Strengthen the Ministry's economic capability in partnership with the Chief Economist Drive strategic programmes and initiatives aligned to Government and Ministry priorities Provide oversight of planning, delivery, and risk management to ensure successful outcomes Build strong partnerships across the Ministry, health sector, and external stakeholders Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you'll bring Proven experience leading policy teams and delivering high-quality analysis and advice Strong track record advising senior stakeholders, including Ministers, with impact Ability to navigate complex systems and apply policy frameworks effectively Expertise in building capability, developing talent, and leading high-performing teams Strategic thinker with strong judgement, resilience, and a commitment to equity and inclusive practice Ngā hua o tō mātou whare - What we bring Discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
