As a Furniture Repair Technician in Last Mile at RXO, you'll play a key role in restoring and repairing furniture to like-new condition. You'll work hands-on with wood, upholstery, and hardware to identify damage, determine appropriate solutions, and execute repairs that meet our quality standards. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in furniture repair who is eager to grow and develop their skillset. What your day-to-day will look like : Diagnose basic to moderate furniture damage and determine appropriate repair method Perform repairs including burn-in fills, wood touch-ups, and frame stabilization Assist with refinishing furniture-sanding, staining, and polishing as needed Reupholster or repair minor fabric issues such as seams and stuffing Replace or repair furniture components (legs, arms, handles, hinges, etc.) Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Use and maintain hand and power tools in a safe, effective manner Collaborate with senior team members to meet repair goals Inspect outbound deluxe furniture on multiple lanes daily to proactively identify and address damage, wear, or finish issues Support general warehouse operations during downtime as applicable, including: unloading trucks, pulling product, staging deliveries, and maintaining a clean work area What you'll need to excel: 1-2 years of experience in furniture repair or a related trade Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Physically able to lift and move items up to 75 lbs In this role, you'll be supported by a passionate team motivated by fast-paced innovation and the desire to deliver for customers.
