Manufacturing Engineer, Sr. (Test Process) As Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining methods, processes used in the fabrication and repair of complex electronic assemblies. This role will also be supporting the Operations in factory wide initiatives relating to production test, product movement, material control and statistical requirements. We Take Care of Our People: Paid Time Off I RRSP with Employer Match I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Competitive Pay I Referral Program I Recognition I Employee Stock Purchase Plan I Inclusive & Supportive Culture * Your Challenge: Responsible for the test processes, enabling manufacturing to support test requirements for a range of products Support development of test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systems Design, implement and optimize manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, research testing methods and conferring with equipment vendors Evaluate new equipment, technologies and processes used in fabrication, repair and rework of complex electronic assemblies Interface with NPI and design engineering to co-ordinate new product release to production Make case of capital expenditures and ROI calculations Document test and/or assembly process steps to allow manufacturing and repair of products. Design new fixtures to support process change Make recommendations of tooling and process requirements of new and existing processes Analyze manufacturing and test data for trends Perform methodical, disciplined techniques to meet customer expectations and internal targets for OTD metrics Review non-conforming materials and coordinate with quality assurance for appropriate disposition Draft, review and approve ECOs and deviations where needed to support production Provide inputs to architecture, design, and test coverage reviews (DFT) Develop test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systems Support diagnosis of complex electronic circuits by setting up and performing functionality tests and specialized tests to track down the root cause of the product failures Provide training and certification for manufacturing and test operators Interface with Production groups to resolve process related issues and coordinate new process updates being released to production Support KPIs (OTD and TAT), external and internal audit requirements, etc. Provide support or recommendations for hardware design enhancements, customer modifications, etc. Work with Sustaining Engineering, Operations teams, Test Engineering and Quality to resolve technical and production issues Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals Provide team performance feedback, as well support implementation of strategies to improve both the team performance Comply with all workmanship standards and maintain a safe and orderly work environment and complete company-wide trainings as required What you Bring: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 8 years of experience or; Technologist Diploma with 10 years of experience in electronics/electro-mechanical environment and relevant expertise in circuit card assemblies A background in electronics manufacturing is required Strong technical and computer skills Working knowledge of test procedures and documents Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent analytical, decision making and reporting skills Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality Can interpret product schematics, diagrams, layouts or defined plans to aid in debugging of test issues Superior mechanical, electrical and technical abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong working knowledge of IPC Standards (IPC-610, J-STD / IPC-7711/7721) Expert knowledge of current manufacturing and test process/technologies: standards and specification Experience in software and hardware requirements used in the testing of electronic assemblies Experience with SAP, Power BI and SQL Electronic assembly debug experience preferred Professional work experience in analyzing and testing computer hardware and software Knowledge and experience working with various operation systems and backend programming preferred Lab Windows/CVI and Test Stand experience preferred Experience with Flying Probe Technology is an asset
