About the role

You will serve as an AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (GENERAL) in the MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND OVERHAUL (MRO) PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. 1) Reviewing logbooks of aircraft and components to obtain such information as number of hours flown, location, and condition of operations, any crash damage sustained, incorporation of changes, routine discrepancies, and other factors significant to determining the required depth of overhaul; 2) Determining the condition of the aircraft and pneumatic and F/E components through various precision measurement, functional tests, and visual examinations; 3) Working from aircraft condition report, schedules, production orders, change listings, and similar planning items, and from standard disassembly or type of overhaul required; 4) Examining, evaluating, and analyzing the condition of electrical and electronic systems, components, and accessories; 5) Determining which components that do not meet quality standards can be repaired on the aircraft, which must be removed, can be repaired by less than standard overhaul. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
