  • The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

Location: Cleveland, OH Cleveland-Cliffs Steel is seeking a Mobile Machinery Category Buyer to manage procurement strategies, lifecycle planning, and operational support for our mobile equipment fleet (service and rentals). This role includes developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing vendor selection, leading negotiations, and building strong, long-term supplier partnerships. Summary of Responsibilities: Serve as the main contact for mobile machinery strategy and lifecycle management. Oversee maintenance programs, vendor services, and preventive maintenance. Monitor mobile machinery needs, life cycles, and contract timelines across sites. Partner with Operations and Engineering to define specifications and optimize fleet mix. Track utilization, plan replacements, and support long-term fleet strategy. Monitor performance, reliability, and cost to identify improvements. Evaluate supplier performance and support contracts and pricing. Ensure billing accuracy and maintain fleet records. Perform other duties as assigned.
