Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy

- Advise on safety considerations in laboratories, workshops and operational environments
- Partner stakeholders on safety aspects of infrastructure, renovations and setups
- Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Engage and influence stakeholders across Schools and functions
- Lead and develop team members
- Navigate competing priorities and resolve safety-related issues
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Provide regular reporting on safety performance and key risks
- Maintain compliance documentation and reporting timelines
- Support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements
- Leadership and strategic thinking
- Strong WSH knowledge and compliance experience
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Understanding of safety considerations in laboratory or technical environments (advantageous)
- Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Health, Facilities Management, or a related field
- At least 10 years of relevant WSH experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities
- WSH certifications (e.g. WSHC, WSHO, bizSAFE, NEBOSH)
- Proven track record in managing safety compliance in complex or multi-site environments
- Preferred:
- Experience in complex operational environments (e.g. manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, higher education)
- Experience engaging senior leadership
