Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Advancement Manager Job Summary: Wisconsin Athletics seeks an enthusiastic, dynamic, team focused, relationship driven leader to fill the role of Assistant Athletic Director- Development. This position will play a key role in shaping the intermediate and long-term development efforts for Wisconsin Athletics by providing leadership on fundraising priorities, campaign strategies, prospect analysis, and revenue growth opportunities. This position will manage a major gift portfolio of prospects and donors while serving as the Department Head for Development focusing on operational management of the development team including various donor focused revenue streams and stewardship. Key Job Responsibilities: Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees Plans and directs staff implementation of advancement initiatives and programs in alignment with the strategic plan Collaborates with unit leadership to deliver directed program messaging to internal and external audiences May serve as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing organizational information on business-relations issues, opportunities, and activities and representing the interests of the unit Evaluates advancement strategy effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement Department: Wisconsin Athletics, Development
