We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager- Finance to join our finance team in Kathmandu, Nepal. You will work collaboratively with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain robust financial controls, prepare accurate financial reports, and support strategic decision-making. Assist in the preparation, analysis, and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements Supervise and coordinate daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations Support the budgeting and forecasting process; monitor, analyze, and report on budget variances to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Prepare comprehensive management reports and financial analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making by senior leadership Maintain and strengthen internal control procedures to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with company policies Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring all required documentation is accurate, complete, and readily available for audit activities Participate actively in cost control initiatives and profitability improvement projects, providing analytical insights and recommendations Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management and relevant stakeholders Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and maintaining high standards of accounting practices Ensure full compliance with local Nepali tax regulations, statutory requirements, and international accounting principles **Experience** Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a senior finance or accounting position, or minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Assistant Manager capacity Proven experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting Demonstrated experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliation functions Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Experience implementing and maintaining internal control procedures and compliance frameworks Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes Experience coordinating with internal and external auditors **Education & Certifications** Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification (preferred) **Skills & Competencies** Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Proficiency with financial and accounting reporting systems and software Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Leadership and team management capabilities Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills **Domain Expertise** Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations Understanding of local Nepali tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements Familiarity with internal audit procedures and best practices Knowledge of financial control frameworks and risk management principles Your team and working environment: In 1-2 sentences, introduce the team, property or office environment in a way that reflects the culture Note: Customization may be included for any specific local or legislative requirements, such as work permits Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
