Role Overview As a Specialist, Software Engineering within the Enterprise IT Legal, Compliance & Security Value Team, you will support the Compliance Product Line, delivering technology solutions for the Ethics & Compliance Office (ECO). Working under the guidance of Sr. Software Engineers and the Solution Architect, you will initially focus on the Restricted Party Screening (RPS) program, building and modifying moderately complex integrations within established architectural standards and design patterns. You will participate in design reviews, execute testing and documentation activities, and collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver reliable, compliant integration solutions. This role is primarily execution-focused - you are not expected to own the architecture or serve as the primary technical lead, but rather to develop high-quality code within defined designs, grow your technical expertise, and progressively take on greater complexity and independence. Over time, this role may expand to support additional programs and products across the broader Compliance Product Line. You should be ready to learn from senior team members, take direction effectively, and demonstrate initiative in building your skills within a compliance-driven, multi-system enterprise environment. What will you do in this role - Develop, modify, and maintain MuleSoft integrations of moderate complexity between enterprise systems, following established architectural standards, design patterns, and technical guidance from Sr. Software Engineers and the Solution Architect. - Write clean, well-documented, and testable Java backend code to support integration logic, data transformations, and system connectivity within the RPS integration landscape. - Participate in design reviews, contributing input and seeking guidance when deviating from established patterns or encountering unfamiliar technical challenges. - Execute unit testing, integration testing, and support system testing activities, ensuring code quality, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards. - Support AWS Aurora RDS database activities under guidance, including executing data modification scripts, assisting with database monitoring, and escalating complex database issues to senior team members. - Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including code comments, integration specifications, and deployment guides, ensuring all artifacts are current and aligned with team standards. - Follow DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability) to support build, deployment, and monitoring of integration solutions. - Assist with incident investigation and resolution, troubleshooting integration issues and escalating complex problems to the Sr. Software Engineer or Solution Architect as appropriate. - Collaborate with cross-functional team members - including Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Delivery Managers, the Product Manager, and fellow developers - to ensure integration solutions align with requirements and technical standards. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, and providing accurate estimates for assigned work items. - Learn and apply emerging technologies, including AI/LLM capabilities, under the guidance of senior team members to enhance automation and integrati
