The primary purpose of this position is to provide continuous, world-class infrastructure and base support in order to enable global Space Force mission Deltas and other space and homeland defense mission partners to conduct combat operations. Conditions of Employment continued from above: This position is a "Key" position. It cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without impairing the capability of the organization to- function effectively. Unless an alternate can be designated to perform the duties of this position during wartime, the incumbent of this "Key" position must be screened from military recall status. Graduation from the Combat Arms Training and Maintenance Apprentice Course and Combat Arms Training and Maintenance Craftsmen Course is highly desired. (Reference AFI 36-2226). In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NJ-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-05 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include knowledge of supply functions, operations, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods; and policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing supplies, to include knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system. Knowledge of governing weapon/security regulations, procedures, and instructions. Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, standards, practices, and procedures, to include ground weapons requirements. Knowledge of AFMAN 23-110, MICAS, Mobility Bags, weapons issuing, and storage requirements is highly desired. OR EDUCATION: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of supply functions, operations, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods; and policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing supplies, to include knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system. Knowledge of governing weapon/security regulations, procedures, and instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems and to also conduct extensive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions. Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements. Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, standards, practices, and procedures, to include ground weapons requirements. Knowledge of AFMAN 23-110, MICAS, Mobility Bags, weapons issuing, and storage requirements is highly desired. Ability to orient, instruct and inform lower graded employees, distribute/balance work assignments; monitor work accomplishment and keep supervisors informed. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
