This position is available in Manulife John Hancock's Mid/Large corporate segment and while a regional approach and coverage is preferred, the ideal candidate should be flexible to travel outside of their region as well. The position will focus on achieving retirement plan retention, growth in revenue and assets through informed and loyal advisors, sponsors, and participants. The preferred candidate will have strong investment industry and product knowledge and experience integrating these solutions into existing relationships. The Relationship Manager is an advocate for the Customer, an industry expert and contributes in meaningful ways to the broader Strategic Relationship Management & Consulting team and John Hancock organization. In addition to defined contribution plans, experience with non-qualified deferred compensation and defined benefit plans is preferred. The book of business will be focused on clients greater than $50M in AUM. Depending on experience, client size could be up to $1B in AUM. Key Accountabilities: Achieve all annual metrics - retention, revenue, customer engagement Learn Manulife John Hancock Retirement products, features and services and apply as appropriate with a strong focus on investment products Effectively manage internal and external customer relationships, leverage available resources Exhibit consultative selling and negotiation skills, optimize product features, plan design and employee retirement readiness Demonstrate executive presence and subject matter expertise to instill confidence and influence outcomes that align Customer and Manulife John Hancock objectives Follow all company and department level processes and procedures, including meeting materials preparation and presentation format, travel and expense, CRM documentation and data integrity Support new sales and market development initiatives Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in related field preferred 7-10 years of Financial Services industry experience Demonstrate initiative, motivation and accountability Expert consultative selling and negotiation skills Ability to analyze complex relationships and complete goals Strong business insight and presence Ability to clearly communicate, build rapport and effectively partner with internal and external business partners.
