Responsibilities

  • Responsible for undertaking Senior Authorised Person HV & LV Duties.
  • Operation and maintenance support on a range of Industrial Utilities equipment which includes Steam Boilers and associated equipment, Cooling Towers, Refrigeration compressors, Air Compressors and Water Treatment Plants.
  • Effective completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities on a range of Electrical and Mechanical systems is required; such as Mechanical maintenance to comply with PSSR and WSE insurance inspections and Low Voltage and Extra Low Voltage electrical systems.
  • Breakdown and repair in line with electrical, control and instrumentation works.
  • Project work including minor Electrical/ Mechanical installations.
  • You will be responsible for the maintenance and publication of plant quality records,reports and implementing Safe Systems of Work to include production of Permit to Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Testing/Inspecting on LV Equipment.

Requirements

  • A proven engineering background within the Electrical industry with a recognised Time Served apprenticeship.
  • Experience with Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and maintenance.
  • Experienced on Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation equipment desirable (verification / calibration of pressure, temperature and level instrumentation and carrying out Alarm, Trip and Interlock routines on systems).
  • Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant operations.
  • You will ideally possess qualification in some of the following areas - IOSH or equivalent, Confined Space, BOAS or equivalent, Steam Systems, Legionella Awareness, Industrial Gas Qualifications, IPAF / PASMA
  • Proven Experience of delivering HVSAP Duties.
