Job Profile Summary Provide analysis in the area of rotating & reciprocating equipment; act as equipment subject matter expert and provide training services. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Perform diagnostics on rotating and/or reciprocating equipment to identify underperforming equipment, mechanical failures and limits around emission control requirements. Operate multiple diagnostic programs related but not limited to vibration analysis, compressor/engine analysis, ultrasonic analysis, IR scanning, and engine exhaust emission testing Maintain, prepare, and/or interpret reports including but not limited to equipment performance, emissions, oil analysis, vibration, ultrasonic, infrared, inspection, and work orders Attain proficiency in and utilize the corporate asset management tool, Maximo Maintain and calibrate analysis equipment per manufacturers' recommendations. Follow retention policy for all required documentation Operate emission monitoring equipment and maintain proficiency with associated software Maintain proper equipment performance. Trouble-shoot and perform minor repairs or make adjustments to engines with emission air fuel control systems in order to obtain the permitted emission levels Provide technical support to area mechanics, Operations and Engineering relative to engines, compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc Provide technical support for incident investigations and failure analysis reports Conduct training sessions with Mechanics, etc Provide project and operational support during key design and start up phases to ensure key reliability expectations are met Attend on and off-site training courses and pass all qualifying tests Identify O&M project needs, based on equipment condition, performance and reliability Trend data to help predict when equipment maintenance is required to maximize the economic run time and operational availability. May work overtime and must maintain availability for call outs and extended travel when necessary Education None Required. Work Experience 3 - 5 years related work experience as an industrial mechanic maintaining compressors (reciprocating, screw and centrifugal), internal combustion engines, fans, pumps, and electric motors 3 - 5 years related work experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in the gas compression discipline, or system or processing plant Electrical experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: emissions monitoring and the use of an engine emission analyzer Knowledge of: the safe and compliant operation of internal combustion engines, reciprocating/screw compressors, gas turbines, pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc Ability to: utilize strong analytical skills Ability to: utilize strong mechanical trouble shooting skills Ability to: utilize computer/software & hardware applications (not limited to Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook) Ability to: apply mathematical skills Ability to: assume responsibility, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful conditions Ability to: work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of urgency Ability to: embrace excellence around safety and environmental stewardship Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions Ability to: react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others Ability to: operate tools and equipment required Licenses and Certifications None required Strength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/Requirements Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
