About the role
We're looking for a Data Operations Manager to scale the data ecosystem behind frontier AI models-powering next-generation Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments, agentic tasks, and datasets that directly shape how advanced models learn, reason, and act in the world.
Responsibilities
- Source and manage experts and vendors to build high-quality datasets
- Procure and curate datasets to enable rich and realistic RL environments
- Partner closely with Research Engineers and Project Leads to translate evolving project goals into clear execution plans-proactively aligning the right talent, skill sets, and bandwidth to workstreams to ensure scalable, high-impact delivery as priorities evolve.
- Analyze performance data to optimize data pipelines, and inform direction.
- Build scalable processes to improve data throughput, efficiency, and quality.
Requirements
- Proven track record of managing distributed expert contractors and vendors
- Experience designing and scaling data pipelines, workflows, and data systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy
- Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-evolving and research-driven environments
- Strong cross-functional communication and organizational execution skills
- Ownership mindset with a bias toward building systems and execution
