Senior Designer(Commercial/Office fit-out workplace/Central/Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or related field]

Responsibilities

• Design Development
• Develop design concepts based on client briefs, site conditions, and feasibility studies.
• Prepare mood boards, space planning layouts, material boards, and preliminary visualizations.
• Create design proposals and presentation materials for clients.
• Refine and adjust designs based on internal reviews and client feedback.
• Technical Drawings & Documentation
• Produce accurate and buildable detailed drawings.
• Prepare complete construction drawing packages, including:
• Plans
• Elevations
• Sections
• Detailed drawings
• Ensure drawings are properly labeled, coordinated, and aligned with approved design intent.
• Prepare lighting layouts, carpentry drawings, and material schedules.
• Coordinate closely with QS to ensure measurements and quantities match design requirements.
• Project Handover & Coordination
• Ensure complete and organized handover of design documents to Project Executives or Project Managers.
• Highlight design risks, critical tolerances, and non-standard construction items.
• Participate in internal handover meetings and project briefings.
• Provide design clarifications and support to site teams when required.
• Client Management
• Attend client meetings together with Senior Designers or Project Leads.
• Record meeting discussions and follow up on design revisions.
• Manage design changes systematically, including approvals and decision tracking.
• Maintain professional, clear, and timely communication with clients.
• Vendor & Material Coordination
• Liaise with suppliers on material selections and technical specifications.
• Maintain updated material libraries, catalogs, and samples.
• Request, review, and coordinate vendor shop drawings.
• Verify final material selections before procurement.
• 3D & Visual Production Support (Ad Hoc)
• Support 3D modeling, rendering, and visual production when required.
• Assist with presentation visuals for clients and internal design reviews.
• This is a supporting function and not a dedicated full-time rendering role.
• Internal Operations & Workflow
• Maintain proper version control of all drawings and documentation.
• Follow company file naming conventions, folder structures, and documentation standards.
• Update design libraries with newly approved details and materials.
• Identify recurring workflow bottlenecks and recommend
• improvements.
• KPI / Success Indicators
• Accurate drawings with minimal site rework
• Smooth handover to QS and Project Teams
• Timely submission of drawings and presentations
• Positive feedback from clients and internal stakeholders
• Clear documentation and effective change management
