About the role
You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative Accounting & Finance team that partners with cross-functional teams as needed. This role supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the Company's subsidiary and other financial areas, contributing to the monthly close process and ensuring accurate and timely financial records. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys transactional accounting, maintaining clean books, following processes, and developing a strong understanding of local accounting operations. The position reports directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager and is a full-time role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record routine journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation.
- Support the monthly close process for, meeting all reporting deadlines
- Perform monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare standard financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Support internal controls by ensuring completeness and accuracy of transactions.
- Assist during external audits by preparing requested documentation.
- Contribute to system and process improvements, including ERP-related initiatives, as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless close process
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting or audit roles.
- Basic understanding of accounting processes and month-end close.
- Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions when needed.
- Advanced English skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow established processes.
- Ability to manage routine tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in accounting and reporting for multi-currency entities.
- Ability to leverage generative AI to increase output quality and speed.
- Preferred requirements:
- US GAAP knowledge is a plus
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
