  • Experience & Requirements
  • 8-10 years of professional experience as a Software Developer with at-least 2 years in a management role.
  • Experience consists of projects written in backend JavaScript.
  • Strong experience consists of leading/managing a team of 5 or more Software Developers using JavaScript ,Python or Go.
  • Experience consists of directly impacting the architecture and design of large scale, distributed systems
  • Management-level familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including data storage and retrieval, serverless computing, optimization and associated costs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience leading Agile development teams, preferably with formal Agile training
  • A clear history of learning and skills development. Regularly helps software developers develop their skills in a variety of ways.

Requirements

  • Experience working in backend systems which support wide-array of mission critical tasks.
  • Experience leading teams developing backend of SOAR servers.
  • Prior experience doing development in a security product.

Position Overview and Objective A Manager, Engineering - IDR Active Response plans and directs all aspects of development, maintenance and sustaining activities within their teams. This means that they ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives. They report into a Sr. Manager Engineering. They work closely with IDR Leadership, Product Management and the Security Services(S2) to ensure their teams are building what our customers and users need in a timely fashion. Managers have a large scope of leadership and can have multiple managers and/or leads reporting to them. Managers can also have specialized subject matter expertise within the technical areas their teams work in.
