AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CEI Senior Building Inspector to join our Transportation Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in Tampa, Florida. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Being fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the building construction to include masonry work and familiarization with the local and State building codes and ordinances Performing under the general supervision of the Project Administrator Relying on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals Setting own project deadlines Providing on the job training to new employees Monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties Performing daily field inspections and maintaining inspection records Participating in punch lists, testing, and commissioning Tracking quality assurance progress Providing input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance and timely resolution of issues Conducting regular safety inspections and enforcing safety protocols on construction sites Reviewing and interpreting complex construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents Preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining accurate project documentation Participating in project meetings and providing expert advice on construction methods and materials Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma plus 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education US Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work Valid US Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
