Technical Data Business Analyst (EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST)

Responsibilities

• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements.
• Analyse legacy data sources and define future-state data requirements.
• Produce source-to-target mapping documentation and data transformation rules.
• Document business processes, data flows and data lineage.
• Work closely with Data Engineers and Architects to support cloud migration activities.
• Perform data profiling, data quality analysis and reconciliation activities.
• Support solution design workshops and facilitate requirements sessions.
• Assist with test planning, data validation, UAT and defect management.
• Produce high-quality documentation including user stories, process maps, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Work within Agile delivery teams using Jira and Confluence.
• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Business Analyst on enterprise Data or Cloud transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of data migration and modernisation projects.
• Experience producing source-to-target mapping (STTM) documentation.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with data modelling concepts and relational databases.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
• Experience working within AWS data environments (S3, Glue, Redshift, RDS) or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Requirements

• Experience with AWS data services.
• Exposure to Snowflake or modern cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata and data quality frameworks.
• Experience with API integrations.
• Telecommunications or large enterprise experience.
