About the role

Serves as Logistics Management Specialist performing multiple and varying logistics assignments under the limited direction of the manager or more experienced professional. Acts as Subject Matter Expert on teams for assigned projects/programs and serves in leadership roles. To qualify for this position at the FV-H (FG/GS-12) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, (FG/GS 10-11) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: analyzing and evaluating documents, reports, and data from logistics and inventory management systems supporting the National Airspace System (NAS); conducting analyses of logistics support functions, supply operations, and workflow processes; and evaluating cost, pricing, and material availability impacts on inventory and mission support requirements. Experience includes adjusting plans and schedules to meet NAS operational requirements, determining logistics support needs for maintenance and repair activities, and ensuring timely availability of parts, equipment, and materials in support of critical NAS operations. Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management principles, supply support procedures, acquisition policies, and financial procedures necessary to maintain inventory accountability, support procurement activities, meet delivery schedules, and sustain uninterrupted logistics support for NAS equipment and systems. Experience may also include coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders and supporting maintenance-related acquisition requirements.
