About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin Outdoor Recreation and will be used for the NAF Hiring Event at CareerSource Okaloosa Walton located at 409 Racetrack Rd NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547 on 20 AUG 2025 from 0830-1400. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of outboard marine engines. This experience must have provided a thorough knowledge of and the ability to test and troubleshoot, components and systems to locate marine equipment defects; interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, diagnostic codes, and safety manuals; and to operate electronic test equipment. Must be physically able to frequently lift, handle, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and with assistance, objects up to and over 50 pounds. Must be able to frequently, stand, bend, stoop, crawl, and work in tight spaces for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation.
