Responsibilities

  • Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Develop and implement the Quality department's processes and standards, aligned with the overall company processes, goals, and objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Product Management) to ensure that the quality processes and standards meet customer needs and market requirements
  • Ensure Quality processes are seamlessly integrated into the overall company end-to-end (E2E) process architecture
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and standards
  • Support the development of the Scout Motors Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Collaborate with BMS team members and business partners across multiple Scout Motors locations to ensure cross alignment and consistent implementation of BMS initiatives
  • Location & Travel Expectations :
  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering/ production/ organizational development and/or quality management of which 3 years of QMS (Quality Management Systems)-related responsibilities; OEM experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field desired (for instance: Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, ...)
  • ISO9001:2015 auditing certification required
  • Proven experience in implementation of QMS and/or execution of internal audits according to ISO9001:2015 in automotive industries
  • Extensive knowledge in organization development, process management, and process design methods
  • Sound knowledge of Quality processes and methods and their practical use
  • Excellent project management skill
  • Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and writing - across hierarchy and functional levels (i.e. Director and Vice President Level)
  • Ability to identify tasks, develop methodologies and plans; execute with minimal supervision and own assignments to ensure the project success
  • Proven ability to handle multiple assignments with competing priorities
