Intermediate Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define technical specifications.
• Implement backend logic to support AI-enhanced features like automated workflows and intelligent data reporting.
• Optimize system performance and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, knowledge sharing, and maintainability.
• Conduct testing and debugging to maintain a stable and secure platform.
• Stay informed on backend and AI technology trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong backend development experience, ideally within a fast-paced tech environment.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or a similar backend framework.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (React.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) is a plus.
• Experience or interest in working with AI/ML-powered systems, tools, or APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Heroku, or Google Cloud.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience in the digital advertising or martech industry is a plus.
