Job Description Access Network Management - Network Field Engineer CDO Area based in Malaybalay, Bukidnon with primary functions as the Operations and Maintenance of Wireline-Broadband, Wireless Network, Enterprise Lines and Transport Equipment including Fiber Optic and Radio Links. Performs Onsite or Field Troubleshooting and Corrective Maintenance Activities for Fault Tickets (FT)/ Incident Tickets (INC)/Problem Tickets (PRB) / Work Order(WO) and Network quality/performance issues endorsed by TIER1 Service Operations Center (DSOC-Domestic Service Operations Center and RSC-Regional Service Center) Performs equipment fault isolation and correction to ensure normal equipment operations by running diagnostic tests Performs testing and equipment calibration and troubleshooting to normalize service interruption Performs 1st level troubleshooting of on-site issues Implements technical solutions to problems as recommended by Senior Network Field Engineers or from Technical Support (TIER2) Provides technical support/ consultancy to other teams (e.g. vendor) Recommends network resiliency programs based on results of troubleshooting for submission to unit head for approval Escalates unresolved issues to Technical Support Team (TIER2) or other applicable team within SLA Activity implementation such as, but not limited to network changes rollout and parameter/configuration standardization in the form of Methods of Procedure (MOP) and Change Modification Activity Request (MAR) Performs installation and de-installation, commissioning and re-commissioning, and re-integration of equipment when needed Performs compatibility testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Intensive Site Acceptance Testing (ISAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in coordination with concerned departments Performs preventive maintenance of network elements based on schedule Monitors and gives assessment and recommendations on actual vendors' performance and compliance to contract provisions Prepares and analyzes technical reports as needed (e.g turn-over/acceptance test reports) Updates policies and procedures manuals (PPM) of existing IN/VAS network equipment The Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors indicating how tasks / responsibilities will be performed: Network Operations: Develops plans and solves issues by applying the following: - Access, transport core and IP technologies, switch, broadband, equipment design, and maintenance strategies including outside plant system (OSP)-Fiber Links - Knowledge of technical processes on commissioning, integration, operation and maintenance of telecom equipment - Knowledge of current products, services, and network design and elements - Safety and risk management principles and standards Network Performance Management: Anticipates network issues and develops technical and/or business recommendations to mitigate or address issues - Ability to carry out cause and effect analysis - Analytical skills in analyzing network element performance report - Ability to identify potential revenue loss or leakage in the network Problem Solving and Complexity: - Focuses on performing tasks based on direction from supervisors and general established procedures/ process/guidelines - Formulates solutions for routine and standard issues and problems in a work environment where situations are highly predictable - Good understanding of local customs Knowledge and Experience: - Utilizes theoretical understanding of a discipline/knowledge and exhibit practical application of skills to commonly anticipated problems - Provides specific advice and recommends improvements to well established and clearly defined processes Effective Communication: - Utilizes active listening skills to clarify requirements and concerns - Uses appropriate level of jargon and technical language based on the audience - Identifies probable causes of miscommunication and works to address these when they occur and takes preventive measures to prevent them in the future Network Operations Project Management: Organizes processes by applying knowledge of project management processes - Ability to displays a systematic approach to perform, validate and implement solution. - Timely implementation of assigned activities/work requests within SLA - Challenges vendor for root cause analysis and solutions Technical Writing Proficiency: - Implements the approved methods, practices and policies governing Network Operations Equal Opportunity Employer Globe's hiring process promotes equal opportunity to applicants, Any form of discrimination is not tolerated throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including the hiring process such as in posting vacancies, selecting, and interviewing applicants.
