Reporting to the Procurement Director , you will manage the purchasing of assigned commodities, ingredients, packaging, or services with consideration to price, quality, logistics, reliability, and continuity of supply. You will be responsible for market analysis, supplier management, negotiations, contract strategy and execution, master data stewardship, reporting, and leading category buyers. You will partner closely with cross‑functional teams to identify value opportunities, develop supply strategies, improve processes, and maintain strong supplier and internal relationships that support business objectives. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Develop category strategies and negotiate complex sourcing initiatives using an understanding of market dynamics, cost drivers, risk mitigation, and logistics considerations. Prepare, review, and support contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements to ensure legal correctness, pricing alignment, and adherence to specifications. Build strong partnerships and lead sourcing projects with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers. Develop an understanding of company requirements, capabilities, processes, and constraints to support continuous improvement initiatives. Guide business process improvements and digital technology strategy and adoption across procurement. Ensure service, quality, innovation, and product improvement requirements are met through effective supplier management. Manage supplier relationships and track key performance indicators to evaluate and improve supply chain performance. Apply advanced sourcing practices to deliver value, manage risk, and support business objectives. Resolve supply, pricing, contract, and supplier performance issues with sound judgment and timely decision making. Lead, coach, and develop procurement talent to strengthen organizational capability. Communicate effectively and collaborate across the organization to drive change in a dynamic market environment. Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor's degree required; a master of business administration or advanced degree is desirable. Five or more years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, commodity management, or finance. Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills with experience influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills. Working knowledge of market economics, cost structures, and value analysis to support fact‑based sourcing decisions. Experience negotiating commercial terms and supporting contract development and execution. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with enterprise resource planning systems preferred.
