Job Description: We are seeking a Sr. Account Manager to manage commercial activities at existing and new automotive customers to satisfy corporate mid-term and long-term growth objectives. You will Identify and develop new accounts and applications in designated markets and communicate and coordinate business development. Location near Fowlerville, MI or Athens, Al Hybrid work schedule Job Tasks Manage all business with assigned tier 1 and tier 2 automotive customers. Grow profitable sales according to plan at current customers and prospects. Identify all customer requirements and needs and expand sales according to plan. Understanding customer strategy, products, processing and other operational value drivers to ensure APNA products are positioned appropriately. Develop contacts with customers at all functions and levels including purchasing, production, logistics, marketing, sales, research and development and technical service. Develop full understanding of Asahi Kasei Plastics products. Ability to participate and conduct technical and marketing presentations at customers meetings required. Balance short-term and long-term objectives effectively within segment to deliver year-over-year growth. Responsible for profit and loss of managed accounts. Develop and apply a strong understanding of the company's pricing strategy and commercial approach, execute pricing strategies that align with market positioning, customer value and profitability objectives. Leveraging pricing as a strategic driver to grow revenue and improve margins within assigned accounts. Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensures, and Certifications) BS in engineering or business with 5 years of experience in automotive plastics, resins, market development, application development, etc. Required ability to travel up to 50% of the time Required Skills MS Office Ability to plan ahead to manage potential internal/external barriers and obstacles in maintaining progress towards set objectives Drive multiple programs concurrently internally and externally; Prioritize time effectively to maintain focus on new growth for Asahi Kasei Plastics Experience selling high value materials in the automotive industry desired but not required Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM desired but not required Work Environment / Physical Demands / Travel Office environment Sits, walks, stands sometimes, lifts occasionally Up to 50% domestic travel About Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, Inc.
