About this Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to lead the newly established Mitchell and Murrindindi Surge Team as part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local service. This 12-month fixed-term opportunity will play a pivotal role in supporting communities impacted by bushfires, delivering person-centred, community-led mental health and wellbeing services across the Mitchell and Murrindindi Shires. Working closely with the Operations Manager and broader Greater Shepparton, Strathbogie and Moira (GSSM) Mental Health and Wellbeing Local, you will establish and lead a high-performing team, fostering an inclusive, values-driven culture that ensures participants experience seamless, integrated support tailored to their individual needs. As Team Leader, you will provide operational leadership and clinical oversight to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based mental health and wellbeing support. You will champion a "no wrong door" approach, supporting participants to connect with health, social care and community services while promoting engagement, recovery and wellbeing. The role includes facilitating collaborative care planning, risk assessment and safety planning processes, building strong partnerships across the service system, and driving continuous service improvement to ensure local relevance and responsiveness. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about community recovery, mental health reform and making a meaningful difference in the lives of people and communities. You will need: Bachelor of Allied Health, Nursing, or Psychology Registration or other relevant tertiary Mental Health qualification Current AHPRA registration (mandatory) leadership experience in a community mental health setting Demonstrated time management abilities, excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate a friendly, proactive approach and work with competing needs, deadlines and balance priorities with efficiency and professionalism. Ability to work independently and within a team. Willingness to travel and work within the community as required by the role You will also need: Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check Right to Work within Australia, and an International Police Check ( If required) Satisfactory National Police Records Check (valid within the last 12 months) NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
