Responsibilities
- Tig welding 90% and mig welding 10% using multiple types of materials (steel, galvanized, and a range of stainless) Welding teams of two Associates per project.
- Properly set up welding machines
- Preparation before Welding: 70% consists of ripping and trimming various specs of wire belts.
- Clean welds to check for imperfections.

Requirements
- One-year certificate from college or technical school. or three to six months of related experience and/or training. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred but not required
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions, read and interpret
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively and present information in small groups of fellow Associates
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems.
- Ability to use measurement tools such as a tape measure and occasionally, a dial caliber, plus welding, and torch equipment
- Attention to all safety policies, programs, and practices is a must
- Basic computer skills are needed for reviewing and performing shop orders.

- This position works in a Manufacturing environment and requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, bend and twist; see, hear, and talk; use fingers and hands, with good hand and finger dexterity to handle or feel controls or products; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry product.

Job Summary Responsible for performing setup on all entry-level welding components that range from similar to dissimilar metals and alloys, requiring a high degree of skill and welding technique or involving a considerable number of parts and/or smaller, more complicated weldments, where alignment, dimensions, and weld quality must conform to strict quality standards.
