Responsibilities
- Operate the press and complete all production assigned to the shift
- Direct workflow and delegate job duties of other Pressman employees
- Confirm job configurations, run orders, and circulation orders
- Complete all paperwork related to nightly production
- Responsible for the quality of all printed products on the assigned shift
- Communicate any problems, changes, or equipment issues to other departments and through proper channels
- Make ready the press for the next shift
- Train for and obtain a Forklift Certification
Requirements
- Proven and sustained high performance in the Press Operator II role for 3-5 years, or equivalent work experience
- Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Must demonstrate an effective general understanding of the entire newspaper production process
- Attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects
