Production Underwriter - Energy

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, underwrite, and price risks in line with underwriting guidelines and program objectives
• Review applications, loss histories, financials, and other underwriting data to assess risk exposure
• Develop and refine underwriting guidelines for new and existing insurance programs
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support new program launches and renewals
• Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios, and emerging risk trends
• Contribute to process improvement, automation, and documentation as the underwriting function scales

Requirements

• 4+ years of underwriting experience in the energy space
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to evaluate risk and make sound underwriting judgments in ambiguous situations
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $150,000 + high performance based variable compensation potential

This role reports to our Head of Capacity.
