Contract Period : 3 months (Option to extend for another 3 months) Working Arrangements: Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 6pm, Friday: 8.30am to 5.30pm Location : Scotts Road (Newton) Salary : Hourly Rated ($20 to $22) Assist the Volunteer Management Branch in managing personnel who will be supporting implementation of a national sustainability initiative. The initiative aims to: Increase the recycling rate of beverage containers and reduce the amount of waste disposed of as well as carbon emissions. Raise consumer awareness on the importance of recycling and encourage good recycling practices. Under this initiative, a refundable deposit applies to selected pre-packaged beverages. Members of the public may return eligible containers at designated return points to receive their deposit refund. A pool of personnel will be deployed at various return locations to assist members of the public with the return process and provide on-site guidance. The Officer will manage and coordinate end-to-end personnel recruitment , training , equipping , and deployment functions , alongside administrative duties such as reviewing and endorsing payroll timesheets.
