MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE ACCOMPLISHED: Responsible for product design and development in Low voltage automotive connector segment. Responsible for project planning and executions. To ensure the project quality as per the standards To meet the delivery deadlines. EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training) - Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering stream. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in the Connector / Automotive / Complex plastic / sheet metal Product Design and Development. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Good knowledge in product concept development / end to end product development in LV Connector. Good skills in product design using NX / SolidWorks / VGM software. Good skills in detailed plastic and Sheetmetal component design and design calculations, tolerance stack up, Benchmark study, product validation and LV connector validation standard. Good knowledge in materials and material selection (plastics and sheet metal) Good knowledge in DFM & DFA Understanding of DRBFM and DFMEA Judgement skills to evaluate concepts and design verification results Good knowledge in GD&T and creation of production drawings Good knowledge in stamping and injection moulding processes.
