About the role
As a Product Marketing Manager at Make, you will own at least one key pillar of Make's product marketecture - taking full responsibility for how it's positioned, launched, and understood by customers, prospects, and the market at large. You'll work at the intersection of product, marketing, and sales to translate deep product knowledge into crisp messaging, high-impact go-to-market plans, and sales enablement that actually gets used. The ideal candidate is hands-on and able to understand a product from the inside out - not someone who learns about it through briefing docs, but someone who builds with it, breaks it, and knows exactly how real customers use it to solve real problems. They bring sharp commercial instincts, a bias for execution, and the credibility to influence cross-functional stakeholders who need a partner - not a gatekeeper - to bring capabilities to market.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end go-to-market execution for product capabilities within your domain - from launch strategy through post-launch measurement - ensuring no milestone, internal communication, or external activation is missed.
- Craft product naming, messaging pillars, and positioning frameworks that are differentiated, value-focused, and consistently applied across web, sales, and content channels.
- Collaborate with product teams early in the development lifecycle - not just at launch - to define business rationale, launch objectives, success metrics, and alpha/beta program participation that validates positioning before broad release.
- Build sales enablement materials (battle cards, demo scripts, one-pagers) that equip revenue teams to articulate value confidently and consistently in both self-serve and sales-led motions.
- Drive competitive intelligence for your domain - maintaining a current, credible view of how Make's capabilities compare.
- Analyze launch performance through both qualitative and quantitative lenses, extracting and disseminating the insights that sharpen future release strategies.
- Represent Make as a subject matter expert for your domain in webinars and external events - presenting with confidence and clarity.
- Champion AI tools across your own workflow to accelerate output quality, reduce cycle time on launches, and model the same automation-first mindset Make enables for its customers.
Requirements
- Product Marketing Depth: 3+ years of product marketing experience (or closely related role) with demonstrated ownership of launches from brief through measurement. Experience at a B2B SaaS company is strongly preferred.
- Messaging and Positioning Craft: You can distill complex, technical capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions that resonate with buyers and users. You know the difference between features and outcomes, and you write the latter.
- Go-to-Market Execution: You've built a go-to-market strategy and run cross-functional launches with multiple stakeholders across marketing and tight timelines. You know how to keep things moving, surface blockers early, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- AI-Augmented Productivity: You actively use AI tools to improve and accelerate your own work - from research to content creation to competitive analysis. You're not waiting for someone to show you how; you're already doing it.
- Customer and Market Curiosity: You participate in customer calls, beta programs, and discovery conversations not because you're asked to, but because it makes your work better. You're genuinely interested in how customers think about the problems Make solves.
- Data-Informed Judgment: You know how to use product usage data, campaign metrics, and qualitative customer feedback to build a case, influence a decision, or change course. You don't just report numbers - you turn them into action.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You build genuine trust with product managers, sales, content, and demand gen - not
