Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Essential:
  • A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in PSV/HGV Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (and Electrical if possible)
  • Proven experience working on PSV or HGV vehicles
  • Strong understanding of MOT Standard and Vehicle Compliance
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Full UK driving licence. Cat D (PCV) is preferred; however, training can be provided to the right candidate
  • A proactive, safety-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with electrical systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability

PSV MOT Engineer Location: Chester (Work at Wrexham may be required) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £18.35 per hour, 38 hours per week + Overtime + 110's of Arriva Village Benefits Company: Arriva UK Bus Hours: Mon - Thurs: 08:00 - 16:00 | Friday: 06:00 - 12:00 (These hours may be flexible for the company's needs) Arriva is looking to recruit a PSV Fitter/Engineer to join our engineering team at our Chester Depot in Hawarden to undertake a role preparing and presenting MOT buses to the DVSA for test. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PSV Engineer who takes pride in high standards of vehicle safety, compliance, and workmanship
