About the role
The Student Placement Officer, internally referred to as the Work Integrated Learning Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of support services for the College's Work Integrated (WIL) programs. You will work closely with the WIL Team Leader to leverage opportunities internally and externally and assist with administration, matching students to placements and ensuring that students meet the requirements for preplacement/WIL experience and contribute to enhancing positive graduate outcomes. You will be required to provide timely advice to various stakeholders and students to support WIL supervision and exercise sound judgement when dealing with sensitive or urgent issues relating to student placements. As the successful candidate you will be accountable for: Liaising with placement providers and undertaking any administration required for placements, including the preparation of contracts, and maintaining quality student data. Processing and maintaining accurate data of student placements experience and supporting academic placement coordinators. Maintaining data records in relevant systems and preparing reports and correspondence as requested . Assisting with the organisation and sharing of WIL information via online and in-person methods to students, industry and academics. About You The key to your success will be your well-developed organisation skills as you demonstrate your ability to prioritise operational situations and meet urgent deadlines. The Work Integrated Learning Support Officer will exercise initiative and problem-solving skills to interpret and advise on systems, policies and procedures f or the continual improvement of WIL support services. You will have excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, allowing you to work collaboratively with a range of university stakeholders and external organisations. To be successful you will also demonstrate: Relevant administrative experience and/or education and training. Experience in maintaining positive relationships, with internal and external stakeholders. Effective use of systems and databases including the ability to extract, manipulate and analyse data. Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise initiative and sound judgment to solve problems and make decisions.
